Fonctionne g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e0 des fr\u00e9quences tr\u00e8s basses (100 Hz \u00e0 1 kHz) et \u00e0 des gains de signal tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9s (&gt; 80 dB) et peut inspecter jusqu'\u00e0 12 mm (1\/2 po) de tubes en acier au carbone. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, deux canaux sont utilis\u00e9s pour l'examen. Pour am\u00e9liorer les r\u00e9sultats de l'inspection, il est toujours conseill\u00e9 d'effectuer un nettoyage de l'al\u00e9sage interne des tubes avec une sorte d'outil de lance \u00e0 jet d'eau.<\/p><p><strong>Syst\u00e8me d'inspection rotatif interne (IRIS) :<\/strong>\u00a0il s'agit d'une technique ultrasonique permettant d'\u00e9valuer l'\u00e9tat des tubes de tous les mat\u00e9riaux dont l'\u00e9paisseur de paroi est sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 1 mm. Cette technologie permet de mesurer avec pr\u00e9cision l'\u00e9paisseur de paroi restante due \u00e0 la corrosion, \u00e0 l'\u00e9rosion, aux piq\u00fbres et \u00e0 l'usure associ\u00e9es aux supports de d\u00e9flecteurs. Cependant, elle n\u00e9cessite un niveau de nettoyage tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9 et constitue une technique beaucoup plus lente que les m\u00e9thodes de test ECT ou RFT. Il n'est pas possible de d\u00e9tecter les fissures avec IRIS. Le syst\u00e8me utilise une t\u00eate de turbine rotative avec un transducteur envoyant un seul signal dans la paroi du tube via un miroir angulaire. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, la bobine r\u00e9ceptrice est proche de la bobine \u00e9mettrice, tirant parti de la zone de champ proche de l'\u00e9metteur, c'est-\u00e0-dire la zone o\u00f9 le champ magn\u00e9tique de la bobine \u00e9mettrice induit de forts courants de Foucault, axialement et radialement, dans la paroi du tube.<br \/>La technologie NFT est particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 la d\u00e9tection de la corrosion, de l'\u00e9rosion et des piq\u00fbres \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur des tubes en acier au carbone. La technologie NFT est parfaite pour les \u00e9changeurs de chaleur \u00e0 tubes \u00e0 ailettes, car les courants de Foucault ne traversent pas la paroi du tube. La technologie NFT est \u00e9galement beaucoup plus sensible aux d\u00e9fauts proches des structures telles que les plaques de support et les plaques Eddy Current Testing (ECT):\u00a0This\u00a0is the most common technique utilized for the inspection of non-ferrous tubing, the technology is very reliable and can determine tube condition in relation to general wall reduction and the presence of local defects such as pitting and cracking with a high probability of detection when using the correct probes. Remote Field Testing (RFT):\u00a0This is a fast reliable screening tool for the condition assessment of ferrous tubing (carbon steel, ferritic stainless steel and Duplex). Works typically at very low frequencies (100 Hz to 1 kHz) and very high signal gains (&gt; 80 dB) can inspect up to 12 mm (1\/2 in.) of carbon steel pipe. Typically two channels are used for examination. To improve inspection results it is always advised to perform cleaning of the internal bore of tubes with some form of water jet lancing tool. Internal Rotary Inspection System(IRIS):\u00a0This is an ultrasonic technique for condition assessment of tubing of all materials with a tube wall thickness greater than 1mm. The technology can precisely measure remaining wall thickness from corrosion, erosion, pitting and wear associated with baffle supports. However it requires a very high standard of cleaning and is a much slower technique than the ECT or RFT test methods. It is not possible to detect cracking with IRIS. The system uses a rotating turbine head with a transducer sending a single into tube wall via an angular mirror. The image displayed can be seen as a B-Scan (Cross-sectional view) and also in a C-Scan (Development of Longitudinal axis of tube). IRIS Technique Near Field Testing (NFT \u2013 Fin Fans): NFT probes operate within the same frequency range as\u00a0Remote-Field Testing (RFT)\u00a0probes.NFT technology uses two coils (a transmitter and a receiver). Typically the receiver coil is close to the transmitter coil, taking advantage of the transmitter\u2019s near-field zone that is, the zone where the magnetic field from the transmitter coil induces strong eddy currents, axially and radially, in the tube wall.NFT is specifically suited to detecting corrosion, erosion, and pitting inside carbon steel tubing. NFT is perfect for fin-fan tube heat exchangers because eddy currents do not go through the wall of the tube.
