Des capteurs \u00e0 ultrasons sont plac\u00e9s de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la soudure. Un capteur transmet le faisceau ultrasonore dans le mat\u00e9riau et l'autre capteur re\u00e7oit les ultrasons r\u00e9fl\u00e9chis et diffract\u00e9s des anomalies et des r\u00e9flecteurs indiff\u00e9rent aux angles de biseau de soudure et \u00e0 l'orientation des d\u00e9fauts<\/li><li>Fournit un excellent enregistrement de l'\u00e9tat du r\u00e9cipient ou du tuyau \u00e0 la naissance.<\/li><li>Peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour les d\u00e9fauts en service, tels que la fissuration, la corrosion, l'\u00e9rosion, etc. Poss\u00e8de une limitation de temp\u00e9rature tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9e (700 F), avec une l\u00e9g\u00e8re perte de sensibilit\u00e9.<\/li><li>D\u00e9tecte les d\u00e9fauts quelle que soit leur orientation dans la soudure.<\/li><li>Peut \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9 sans qu'il soit n\u00e9cessaire de fermer d'autres activit\u00e9s dans la zone (ce que RT exige).<\/li><li>Peut \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9 pendant le soudage ou imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s la fin de la soudure, permettant une d\u00e9termination instantan\u00e9e de la qualit\u00e9 de la soudure.<\/li><li>Permet de surveiller la croissance des d\u00e9fauts pour les d\u00e9cisions d'ex\u00e9cution\/r\u00e9paration.<\/li><li>Utilise l'heure d'arriv\u00e9e des signaux re\u00e7us des pointes de fissures pour un positionnement et un dimensionnement pr\u00e9cis des d\u00e9fauts<\/li><li>Rapide \u00e0 installer et \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser une inspection, car un seul faisceau offre une grande zone de couverture<\/li><li>Num\u00e9risation rapide avec imagerie et enregistrement complet des donn\u00e9es<\/li><li>Peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour d\u00e9tecter des zones de perte de m\u00e9tal de forme irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re lors des inspections de (TOFD) is an advanced method of Ultrasonic inspection that leverages on existing UT methodologies thereby bringing a whole new range of testing and detection capabilities to the NDT forefront.Whilst conventional ultrasonic uses shear \/ transverse waves as the primary mode of detection, TOFD uses longitudinal waves as the primary detection mode. Ultrasonic sensors are placed on each side of the weld. One sensor transmits the ultrasonic beam into the material and the other sensor receives both reflected and diffracted ultrasound from anomalies and geometric reflectors. \u00a0 Benefits of ToFD\u00a0: Based on diffraction, so relatively indifferent to weld bevel angles and flaw orientation Providing an excellent record of vessel or pipe condition at birth. Detects flaws regardless of their orientation within the weld. Can be applied without the need to shut down other activities in the area (which RT demands). Can be applied either during welding or immediately after completion of the weld, allowing instant determination of weld quality. Allows flaw growth monitoring for run\/repair decisions.
